Here are two of the pieces i've been working on for a Halloween art show. So stoked with the concept, I decided to pay homage to Hitchcock's The Birds and Psycho--probably my all time favorite movies of his.

hanging out at a bookstore in taipei, these images just jumped out of this mag's pages...hesitant to spend almost 20USD on some magazine, i decided to snap away...couldn't help it.

homeland yet i feel far removed...bustling hustling beautiful chaos...i love it and hate at the same time...love it because of family, roots, never forgotten memories of childhood, food / culture; defiant for it's socio-economics and class systems that keep most people in poverty...it's a land of contradictions and oxymorons, not meant for the faint of heart.

if i can have a soundtrack to my week, it would have to be danger mouse & daniele luppi's rome album--moody, transient, romantic, dreamy...makes me feel like i'm walking in a cobblestone-filled street in italy or spain. this video is super rad!

standby or bust

luggage packed and ready to haul it back and forth from the airport...bumped off twice in a week...feeling like purgatory in what has come to be the standard of jetsetting during a recession--especially in one's pocket. flying standby has become my only option; not ideal when familial situations are a matter of urgency...but..right now i have no other choice but to wait...with no promises.
